all the emails i get that have a time element (event invitations, concert and event notifications, plan-making, deadlines) are sent to my calender and auto-inherit tags that help the system place it on the correct calender (“work,” “social,” etc) instead of my normal “text to read” list of emails

rich media emails

photo emails are sent to my “photo place”

newsletters with editorial content

sent to rss reader

advertisements

sent to my shopping list and online shopping place

conversations

conversation emails are in the conversation list that encompasses email, text, IM, video chats, etc and viewable by date sort or person sort

Structure Synth is an application for creating 3D structures from a set of user specified rules. It is an attempt to make a 3D version of Context Free.

It is built in C++, OpenGL, and Qt 4.3. Builds are currently provided for Windows and Mac. It is possible to compile Structure Synth on Linux as well.

As of now this project is usable, but it is still beta quality (although it is quite stable, not all planned features are completed). The progress and design considerations can be tracked at the Syntopia blog.

ok, i am better able to articulate why posting stuff here for this purpose makes me uncomfortable—it’s because it’s separate from my general library of cool shit, which is delicious so far, though i’m open to porting it somewhere better. i need all my data to be in one place, but tagged by project, so i could still view just a Master System feed. after all, who’s to say that i may not want to look at these sick 3d interface inspiration pics for another project later?

i also cant figure out how to sort posts by tags on tumblr…you can search, but it’s not searching just by tag.

it composes an html page with the above link list. then LATER i can use a primitive screen capture selection tool to grab images and chunk of text if i want to add it, or type a description, and add tags. the main difference from existing tools is that i get to do this for multiple links, like all the links per session, at once rather than a link at a time. so i will go in and add:

and pretend i added images. i cant do that in gmail. then i want to send this “links of the day” to you. i click submit and then these would all be routed to all correct buckets (each tag = a bucket, recipient (andrew) = a bucket, date (dec 31 2008) = a bucket).
then the question becomes, how do i want it to look when we access these later?
